Swim.com is compatible with a variety of smartwatches. If you have an Apple Watch, Samsung smartwatch, or WearOS watch, we have our own app available for those devices.* We also support all swim-tracking capable Garmin devices through an account link to Garmin Connect (API) as well as Suunto devices via a link to the Suunto app on a mobile device.
For Apple watch users, the Swim.com Apple Watch app should automatically be installed on your Apple Watch by the parent app on your iPhone, as long as your watch and phone are connected via Bluetooth when you download the iOS app. For more information on how to use the Swim.com Apple Watch app, please click here.
For Samsung watch users, the Swim.com watch app is considered a standalone app and must be downloaded to your watch through the Galaxy App Store, which is accessed through the Samsung Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Wearable or Galaxy Fit app on your mobile device. Which Samsung app you have installed on your mobile phone depends on if your phone is Android or iOS and what watch or band you have purchased. If you cannot find the Swim.com app by searching in the Galaxy App Store, it’s possible that your device does not have access to install it due to the watch or band having an inadequate water-resistance rating. Samsung prevents devices with an inadequate water-resistance rating from downloading the app because use of the app could potentially damage the device. Swim.com for WearOS watches is also a standalone app and must be downloaded to your watch via the Google Play store on your watch. While the app is available to install on all WearOS devices, you will want to make sure that your watch has an adequate water-resistance rating (50m or 5 ATM) before using the app. For more information on how to use the Swim.com WearOS app, please click here.
We are also compatible with Garmin and Suunto devices that feature swim tracking capability. While we do not have an app available to download on Connect IQ that can be installed directly on a Garmin watch, you can link your Swim.com account and your Garmin Connect account so that once data is uploaded to your Connect account, it will automatically appear on your Swim.com feed. Similarly, for Suunto devices, you’ll simply need to link your Suunto app on your mobile device to Swim.com via the Swim.com app in Settings>Integrations.
If you do not have a compatible smartwatch, you can still use the Swim.com mobile app. We offer a manual swim data entry tool for those users who do not track their swims with a device.
